Last year’s Verses was great and we’ve got some neat things planned this go around as well.
I realize some of you may be on the fence about coming, let me offer the following reasons why you should probably be there.
5. YOU GET TO GO TO “THE ATTIC”
This is specifically for those people with students in our youth ministry. Since “The Attic” is the worship and gathering space for the youth group, parents can now embarrass their children by talking constantly about The Attic as if it belongs to everyone. Teenagers hate it when you take over their stuff.
4. WE HAVE A NEW SNARE
I know most people don’t care about stuff like this, but we have a new snare and it’s awesome and it’s making its debut at Verses. Then you’ll know for the rest of time that you were one of the first to hear our new snare.
3. IT’LL BE SMALL
I love a sanctuary full of people and tons of musicians doing what they do best, but I want to find more opportunities to worship in smaller settings with fewer instruments. Don’t expect a laser light show and big electric guitar solos – come expecting to sing loud and hear people singing all around you!
2. THIS COULD BE A THING
If all goes well, I’d love to continue doing these “scripture and song” nights as a part of our normal church life. By attending, you help us find the identity of an event like this and help us make it better each and every time we do it!
1. YOU MIGHT MEET SOMEBODY NEW
One of the great things about church events is the fellowship! I’m hoping we’ll have a diverse group of folks from Bethel (and the community) and there’s a good chance you’ll get to know some new people who love God and care about His Kingdom!
I hope you’ll make plans to attend this Friday, June 28. And bring a friend!
